What is the EastMINT Training Project?

The EastMINT Training project is the monitorization and proctoring by telemedicine of each East European INR Center for a period of 1 year.

The monitorization will be done by ESMINT INR specialists from the high volume INR Centers.

The goal is to help young centers to implement the guidelines procedures, to manage to treat difficult cases assisted by a more experienced team, and that at the end of the period of remote proctoring an ESMINT accreditation will be awarded to the East European INR Center.

The monitorization will be done 24/7 via internet conection with 2 professional video cameras inside the angiosuite, and with a server that allows the proctors to see the imagistic exams of the patients.

The project will be sponsored by the local hospitals, by the goverments and mainly by industry through ESMINT.

Pilot project of EastMINT

The pilot project will be in Bucharest, Romania, at the Department of Diagnostic and Interventional Neuroradiology of the Elias University Emergency Hospital, represented by Stefanita Dima. This will be proctored by the Department of Diagnostic and Interventional Neuroradiology in the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf in Germany, represented by Jens Fiehler.

At the same time, there will be a similar project, also in Romania, in the Transylvania region, at the County Hospital of Targu Mures. This will be proctored by National Institute of Neurosciences, Budapest, represented by Istvan Szikora.
